How to update drivers for GameDevil Trident Wireless Gamepad


This controller firmware is compatible with the PS4 console version 5.50 and below. Date for latest firmware update: 2018-03-17


    1. Download the latest drivers by pressing the button below.
    2. Unpack the downloaded ZIP-folder. It includes a driver package (.exe) and a PDF with instructions.

  1. Press and hold the SYNC-button while inserting the GameDevil USB Bluetooth dongle into an empty USB port on your computer.
  2. Double-click the installation file (.exe) and press “Update” in the pop-up window.
  3. Wait for the updating process to complete, it will be confirmed with a message saying “Update successful!”.

  3. Press and hold L3 + right on the directional pad while inserting the GameDevil Wired Gamepad into an empty USB port on your computer.
  4. Double-click the installation file (.exe) and press “Update” in the pop-up window.
  5. Wait for the updating process to complete, it will be confirmed with a message saying “Update successful!”.

    1. For initial use, please make sure to charge the controller for more than 1 hour, otherwise the controller may functional incorrectly during gaming

    1. Please try to “reset” the controller if you meet any of the following situations:
      • The controller won’t start, even when connected for charging
      • The controller sometimes goes into dead status
      • The controller cannot connect to the console
      • You press the HOME button but the controller has no working light and the controller cannot be booted
      • Some buttons respond much slower than usual
      *** The “reset” button is on the back of the controller, hidden inside a small hole. When pressing the “reset” button, use a pin and try to press it until you feel the pin click. Press and hold for 5 seconds. The controller must be unplugged from charger or the PS4 console when reset.

    1. Please try charging the controller if you meet any of the following situation:
      • The working light flashes much slower than usual
      • You press the HOME button but the controller has no working light and the controller can not be booted
      • The controller vibration becomes weak or even lost
      • Wireless distance obviously becomes shorter than usual
      • The controller disconnects constantly during the gaming
      • Some buttons respond much slower than usual

    1. If any of the above problems still can not be resolved, please try updating the controller firmware
